Located in the middle of the country, Al-Ain is the fourth largest city after Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, all of which are around 130 kilometres (81 mi) apart.

Al Maqam
Al Maqam is 30 minutes away from Al Ain and is the most convenient option if you work or study at the United Arab Emirates University, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, or Fatima College of Health Sciences.
Transport in Al-Ain:
With Al Ain’s excellent road network, you can reach the Al Ain International Airport easily. Within the city limits, you can also take the bus or a cab.
Leisure Activities and Things to Do in Al-Ain
With the dry air of the desert, Al-Ain is becoming a popular tourist destination. Many Emiratis in Abu Dhabi have holiday houses in this city, making it a popular weekend retreat for Abu Dhabi residents.
The city’s attractions include the Al Ain National Museum, the Al Ain Palace Museum, several restored forts, and the Bronze Age Hili Archaeological Park.
Al-Ain has five major malls. Al-Ain Mall in the town centre, Al-Jimi Mall in Al-Jimi District, Bawadi Mall in Al-Khair District, Remal Mall located in the Sanaiya district, and Hili Mall located in the Hili District. Another popular pastime for Emiratis and expatriates alike is spending time in coffee shops and shisha cafes, of which there are plenty.

- Al-Ain is known as the “Garden City” due to its greenery, particularly regarding the city’s oases, parks, tree-lined avenues and decorative roundabouts,
- New buildings are no taller than seven floors
- The city used to have roundabouts in every intersection but recently it has been replaced by traffic signals.
