This year, as John Mason International celebrates an impressive 140 years of providing exceptional moving services across the globe, we’re embracing a unique and heart warming theme for February: “Love Where You Live.” As part of our anniversary celebrations, we are rolling out an initiative that not only pays homage to our storied past but also sows seeds for a brighter, more sustainable future: planting 140 trees around the world, each symbolising a year of our rich history.
Our initiative spans the lush landscapes just 10 miles from our current headquarters, extending to diverse locations across five continents. This reflects our unwavering commitment to nurturing the environments of the communities we have helped move to for generations, fostering a tangible legacy of sustainability and care.
Moreover, in keeping with our February theme, these trees stand as living pillars of our dedication to the planet, symbolising a love for the places we call home, both locally and globally. They embody our ongoing efforts to bridge worlds, create sustainable environments, and contribute towards a healthier planet for future generations.
Our February focus dovetails with another significant initiative launched last month: a year-long commitment to combating hunger. We’ve pledged to donate 140 items of food to local foodbanks every month throughout 2024, reinforcing our “Love Where You Live” message by supporting the very communities that have been integral to our success.
Simon Hood, Director encapsulates our mission perfectly: “For 140 years, our ethos has extended beyond mere logistics; we’re in the business of transforming lives. Through planting trees and supporting local foodbanks, we express our gratitude and reaffirm our commitment to both the earth and its inhabitants, ensuring that our celebration of love and care touches everyone.”
John Mason International has joined forces with Treeapp for this initiative. The planting of 140 trees is expected to absorb 15.26 tonnes of CO2 and reforest 224.00 m² of land.
