Are you enjoying the return of ITV’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” Need an extra fix? A couple of years ago John Mason International Movers enlisted the help of a former contestant to help us educate customers on what they can and cant take when moving to Australia.
Emigrating to any country can be a stressful time, let alone over 9,000 miles across the world to Australia. So to make the process as smooth and as easy as possible, the team at John Mason enlisted comedian, broadcaster and jungle pro, Iain Lee to create a series of fun videos giving advice and information on the ins and outs of moving abroad.
The playful videos include ‘Leave It Out’, which gives tips on what you can and can’t take with you down under, including homemade Christmas decorations, fur coats, wicker baskets and even Y-fronts! UK and Australian food goes head-to-head in a ‘Blind Tucker Challenge’, where Marmite takes on Vegemite, Fuze Tea takes on PG Tips and Freddo bars battle Caramellos. And the cheeky Iain Lee is also caught on camera in strawberry-gate round two (but without Amir Khan this time).
WHAT CAN I TAKE?
With some of the most stringent import rules in the world, this six minute video is a rapid-fire guide offering the ins and outs and dos and don’ts of what you can and can’t take with you when moving to Australia.
WHAT’S THE FOOD LIKE?
Worried that you’ll miss the food when you move? Join Iain Lee for a special Blind Tucker Challenge and find out which nation’s food is the best, in this video where the UK and Australia go head-to-head to be the food champion.
