John Mason International Movers are teaming up with the British Association of Removers (BAR) Young Movers for a nationwide Beach Clean-Up event on Saturday, 21st September 2024. This collaborative effort combines our longstanding commitment to sustainability with the dynamic energy of the next generation of movers. By coming together, we aim to make a significant impact on our coastlines, highlighting the urgent need for environmental conservation and community action.
We are immensely proud to support the BAR Young Movers in their outstanding initiative. The BAR Young Movers have demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication in organising this event, showcasing the energy and passion of the next generation of movers. By backing their efforts, John Mason International is not only promoting environmental stewardship but also encouraging the growth and development of future industry leaders.
Our involvement underscores our core values of environmental stewardship and community support. By participating in this beach clean-up, we aim to remove harmful litter and pollutants from our shores, preserving our marine ecosystems and ensuring that wildlife can thrive.
Litter on our beaches is not just an eyesore; it poses a severe threat to marine life. Birds, fish, and other wildlife often mistake plastic and other debris for food, leading to injury or death. Pollutants can contaminate the water, harming both the creatures that live in it and those that rely on it, including humans.
The event will take place at several locations across the UK, including Pegwell Bay and Minnis Bay in Kent, Aberdeen in Scotland, and Thurstaston in Merseyside, among others. Volunteers will gather from 10 AM to 12 PM to collect waste and raise awareness about the devastating impact of pollution on our beaches. Sign-up is free, but we encourage donations to support the invaluable work of the Marine Conservation Society and the Removers Benevolent Association.
