When Santa’s not busy flying through the skies delivering presents, his sleigh needs a safe place to call home. This year, the trusted guardians of his iconic ride are none other than John Mason International Movers! Known for handling precious cargo with the utmost care, John Mason International’s secure, indoor storage facilities are the perfect resting spot for the Scouts’ Santa Sleigh.
This year marks a new chapter for the much-loved Santa Sleigh, as the 7th Bebington (Holy Trinity) Scout Group takes over its operation from the Wirral Lions Club. The Scouts were chosen as the new custodians after presenting their heartfelt proposal earlier this year. “We promise to do them proud—Scouts’ honour!” said Graeme Garvey of Bebington District Scout Group.
The sleigh was moved to its new home at John Mason International, where a generous offer of free storage set the wheels in motion for a big renovation. With their sponsorship and community spirit, John Mason International has made it possible for the sleigh to dazzle families across Bromborough, Bebington, and Eastham, all while raising vital funds for Wirral Hospice St. John’s and local Scout Groups.
Keeping the Legacy Alive
The Scouts’ Santa Sleigh is more than a festive float—it’s a cherished tradition that brings smiles to thousands and raises money for worthy causes. With over £3,000 already raised towards a £10,000 target, the sleigh is on a mission to make this Christmas brighter for the Wirral community.
“At Bebington District Scout Group, we’re thrilled to carry on this legacy and bring joy to local families,” said Graeme Garvey of the Scout Group. “We’re incredibly grateful to John Mason International for their support. Their community spirit means we can focus on delivering festive cheer and supporting amazing local causes.”
Santa’s Trusted Helpers
For John Mason International, being part of this project is a natural extension of their dedication to families and communities. Simon Hood, Owner of John Mason International, shared his excitement:
“It’s an honour to be trusted with such an important job. Being the guardians of Santa’s sleigh is a privilege, and we’re thrilled to help bring some Christmas magic to the Wirral. Whether it’s moving families across the world or storing Santa’s ride, we’re all about making life better and brighter for those we serve.
As the official keepers of the Scouts’ Santa Sleigh, we’re excited to play a small but sparkling role in spreading Christmas spirit across Bromborough, Bebington, and Eastham. After all, what better way to share in the season of giving than by helping Santa himself?”
A Season of Giving and Joy
Freshly renovated and decked out with twinkling lights, the Scouts’ Santa Sleigh is a beacon of festive spirit. As it travels through the Wirral, it’s not just spreading joy—it’s uniting the community and raising funds to support local charities and Scout Groups.
Thanks to the Scouts’ dedication and John Mason International’s care, the sleigh is a shining example of what’s possible when a community comes together. So, when you see Santa waving from his sleigh this year, remember the teamwork and generosity that make the magic happen.
From all of us at John Mason International, have a merry, magical Christmas and a happy New Year!
