Butler
Butler is an outer Northern suburb of Perth, located approximately 25 miles from Perth’s CBD. The area has lots of facilities including a train station and medical centre. It also has nice parks to enjoy such as Brampton Park and lake.
Applecross
Applecross is a lovely riverside suburb with Jacaranda tree lined roads providing pleasant surroundings. Applecross has Scottish history so many road names have Scottish origins. The Rotary Club also host a Jacaranda festival as this area is so well known for this distinguishing feature.
Yanchep
Yanchep is known for its beach location and proximity to the National Park. This suburb is good for people who prefer a more a rural outlook. Recreational facilities available locally include a country club, bowling club and cricket club.
Swanbourne
Swanbourne is a good area for families as there are lots of leisure and sports facilities in the area including tennis and cricket clubs and Cottesloe Golf club.
Burns Beach
This suburb is becoming increasingly popular, due to its lovely beaches and parklands which make it a great place for families who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle. Currambine
Currambine is well located for shopping facilities and nearby malls. The infrastructure is also good with good train links into the city of Perth. The nearest beach is the rocky but picturesque Burns Beach. There are two primary schools in the area and many after school clubs for children.
Carramar
Carramar is a leafy, quiet suburb so ideal for people looking to live in peaceful surroundings. It is located in the City of Wanneroo, approximately 20 miles from Perth’s CBD. Carramar is an Aboriginal word for ‘shade of trees’.
Iluka
Iluka is located within the City of Joondalup. It is an area that tends to be on the more expensive side due to its high quality housing and beachside location. The suburb is also known for its surfing beaches and scenic coastal footpaths which are used by locals for walking and cycling.
Fremantle
Fremantle is a vibrant area, approximately 30 minutes from Perth’s city centre. A port city, it is located at the mouth of Swan River. It is named after Charles Howe Fremantle, an English naval officer and original settler of the area. Inglewood
A family favourite, the well established suburb of Inglewood is a residential area with a many facilities including retail areas, a library, an aquatic centre, a thriving café culture scene, many restaurants and a regular market. Adjoining suburbs of Mount Lawley and Menora can also benefit from Inglewood’s facilities. The area also has its own soccer club, Inglewood United SC.
