International removals to Canada
Canada reigns as the second largest country in the world, second only to Russia, in total area. The country’s low population density (only about 33 million people), combined with its vast and diverse geography, make Canada a location of choice for many emigrants from the UK. As with many countries around the globe, Canada was once a British Colony. Her colonial roots are still evident today in many ways including the constitutional monarchy government and the long-standing welcoming of new emigrants. Canada receives approximately 250,000 new citizens annually, many from the UK.
If you are considering relocating to Canada, the wide variety of climates and surroundings may make your choice difficult. From snow-capped mountains, to warm beaches on either coast, to abundant lakes and rivers, Canada offers cold winters, hot summers, and everything in between.
Canadian terrain is extremely varied and diverse. The rugged eastern seaboard borders the Atlantic; its wind-swept beaches are a very popular destination. The west coast, thick with trees and foliage, resembles a mountainous rainforest. Northern Canada, consisting largely of the famous Yukon Territory, has remained largely untouched for thousands of years. Travel far enough and you’re likely to see a polar bear!
Southern Canada features lush, rolling hills, a moderate climate, and contains the country’s population centres, each with their own personalities. Toronto is the modern cosmopolitan city and sometimes compared to New York. Calgary is the centre of Canada’s profitable oil industry and is economically successful. Vancouver, the “City of Glass,” has a natural and picturesque feel. Finally, Montreal, very European in its appearance, holds fast to its French heritage and language, is full of culture, charm, and style.
Fancy a secluded cottage with plenty of privacy and beautiful scenery? Or perhaps living in a large, modern city complete with all the trimmings of technology and culture? Canada offers new residents a great new lifestyle and quality of life.
Choose your location, secure employment, submit your applications, and opt for John Mason to organise your move to Canada so you can sit back and relax and get ready to begin your new life.
In Canada, unemployment rates remain much lower than most areas of the UK, and other developed countries. Additionally, the job market for skilled labourers continues to grow and is attractive for many people. Even unskilled migrant work is both essential to Canada’s economy and much needed.
Another reason to consider moving to Canada is the country’s national healthcare plan. While maligned in the media by some press, the simple fact is Canada’s system works well and is defended intensely by her citizens. The tax-funded system is similar to many found in the UK and is free at the service provider.

If you have children, you’ll be encouraged by a recent study from the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development concerning the level of Canada’s educational system. The study compared students from 65 English speaking countries on math, reading, and science. Canadian students scored the highest.
