Shipping wine and alcohol
If you are deciding to take alcohol in your shipment, an inventory of all of the bottles will be required for Customs procedures. Details will need to be included such as quantity, % alcohol content and size of bottle. Your Move Manager will be able to assist further and advise on your specific circumstances.
Shipping food items
Small amounts of food for personal use only are allowed if they are cans and non-perishable. The food items must be unopened and in a durable to prevent spillages during transit.
International pet relocation
Pets, dogs, cats and birds will require an import licence. Quarantine will also be necessary for between 1-6 months depending on origin country’s export requirements. A Health Certificate is needed (issued not more than 14 days prior to departure of the pet).
An Import licence will be needed if you are planning to import a protected species item e.g. feathers, furs etc. Such items will be inspected upon arrival in Hong Kong.
Import licences are required for plants.
Dangerous items such as fireworks are not permitted in shipments.
